Inside the new Upper West Side Apple Store
This place is so colossal it makes me feel small and powerless. Actually, my exact words to my friend who visited this fairly new iLocation with me were, "I feel lonely!"

A few odd things around NYC
I was inspired by Nick and LevysUniqueNY on Twitter to write a post about some odd signs and sights I've spotted around the city. Some I see every day, some I saw a long time ago but never forgot, and some I see on occasion.
Lost sock sign in the Upper East Side on 2nd Avenue & 65th Street
(spotted almost a year ago)

Spotted in front of the Whitney Museum on Madison Avenue
and 75th Street

In the Upper West Side on 74th Street between Central Park West
and Columbus—a street sign that reads "Baxter" in an apartment window

An upside down Pedestrian sign on Spring Street in SoHo

"Pray", written on door handle of an NW subway

Lincoln Center at night
I haven't been to a show at Lincoln Center since the summer of 2006. I went to see The San Francisco Ballet for just $15 thanks to my being a student—an out of state student as I was in the city for the summer doing an internship while in school in Florida.
Earlier this month I finally went back to see another Ballet, Sleeping Beauty, for just $20.

The Empire Hotel
A very scenic part of New York City starts at Broadway in the Upper West Side. From 59th Street's Time Warner buildings and the fountain at Columbus circle, to 66th Street's Lincoln Center and in between at the Empire Hotel on 63rd Street. Julliard, Avery Fisher Hall and Fordham University are all within the vicinity as well.
Scenes from Gossip Girl and Sex and the City 2 have been shot here, and thanks to all of the recent hype, there will likely be many more to come!
This is a great little part of town to visit if you are visiting. The famous Tavern on the Green restaurant is nearby, plus Barnes & Noble, Bed Bath and Beyond and a Leows theater featuring IMAX makes this a great spot for shopping and entertainment.

Signs
One of the many beautiful things to see around the city are the signs for hotels, stores, restaurants, parks and events.
Some of the best ones to see are the ones that have the sky as a backdrop. When it comes to backgrounds for New York City photos, there's nothing better than blue...

8-8-08
On 8-8-08, I was on a quest to take the greatest picture EVER. But it did not happen. Absolutely nothing caught my eye, only the blinding sun, which was painful actually.
I wanted to have something amazing to submit to flickr's 888 Group Pool, which is now at 5,840 uploaded photos taken only on August 8, 2008.
That was a huge night - The Olympics were on (the opening ceremony blew me away. literally, I got blown up the street to Crumbs Bakeshop!), it was Friday so Happy Hour was taking place, big time, and it I just love it when it's a cool date. Next year, on 9-9-09, it will be my 23rd birthday! :o)
So nothing inspired me. Though I was walking down 80th Street and I came across this corner with the address to "80 Riverside Drive." I guess that's cool.

beautiful windows!

another "lean with me now" tree!

wire 1-6
So I've really run out of stuff to post! I haven't been busy or anything, I just don't have any new stuff. I have a TON of old pictures though. I guess I'll start posting those, I guess.
Not that I'm into wire, but here's some wire in the Upper West Side.
